Paralegal – Intellectual Property - Washington, DC Talent Focus has been retained by a high profile law firm to recruit an experienced Intellectual Property Paralegal to join its Washington, DC office. This is an outstanding opportunity to support nationally recognized attorneys on complex patent litigation matters involving cutting‑edge technologies and high-profile clients. The successful candidate will play a key role throughout the litigation lifecycle, working closely with attorneys, experts and clients to deliver exceptional legal support. Key Responsibilities Manage complex patent litigation matters from case inception through trial and appeal. Coordinate case files, litigation calendars, deadlines and court filings. Support discovery, document review, production and e‑discovery workflows. Draft, proofread and prepare pleadings, motions, briefs and PTAB filings. Conduct legal and factual research using Westlaw, Lexis, PACER, Docket Navigator and USPTO resources. Perform cite checking, Bluebooking and prepare Tables of Authorities. Assist with Federal Circuit, U.S. District Court and PTAB filings, ensuring compliance with court rules and deadlines. Prepare trial exhibits, witness binders, deposition materials and provide on‑site trial support. Coordinate with clients, experts, vendors and opposing counsel throughout the litigation process. Support case budgeting, reporting and document management. About You We're looking for a highly organized and detail‑oriented litigation professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative legal environment. You'll ideally have: Bachelor's degree (Paralegal Certificate from an ABA‑approved programme preferred). 4+ years' experience supporting complex patent litigation matters within a law firm. Experience with Federal Circuit and U.S. District Court filings. ITC litigation experience is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of PTAB proceedings, patent terminology and USPTO processes. Experience using CM/ECF, PACER, Westlaw, Lexis, Docket Navigator and e‑discovery platforms. Excellent organizational, communication and project management skills. The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail. Why Apply?
