Fire Protection Sales Specialist - NYC

Victaulic is a global leader in pipe joining solutions. Responsibilities Learn all about Victaulic’s products and provide solutions for customers. Understand the industry, including grooved mechanical pipe joining methods and competitive methods such as welding and flanging. Understand construction cycles, identify major projects, and stay current with market trends and competitor activity. Work with the Regional Sales Manager to develop a business plan that includes opportunity mapping, sales goals, product promotion plans, and strategies to maximize sales potential. Execute all phases of project pursuit and management—from project inception through design, bids, drawings, training, commissioning, to after‑sale support. Gather complete quotation information and lead the inside sales team, engineering, and other support staff to meet customer requirements. Develop and maintain relationships and trust with mechanical contractors, engineers, and project owners, including spending time outside normal business hours with customers. Partner with Victaulic distributors and coordinate activities with other representatives and regional specialists to ensure the best customer experience. Educate customers about the overall value of Victaulic products through training, demos, and presentations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred. Previous sales experience selling value‑added products/services, preferably in commercial construction, the PVF industry, or mechanical products. Demonstrated sales achievements and ability to develop long‑standing relationships. A competitive nature, flexibility, and resiliency. Self‑motivated and self‑driven with strong problem‑solving, resourcefulness, and creative thinking. Strong organizational, time‑management, and project‑management skills. Compensation and Travel Compensation ranges from $110,000 to $130,000 annually plus a sales incentive. The role requires remote, self‑directed work with minimal supervision and a willingness to travel—including overnight stays and work in adverse weather conditions. Ability to handle equipment that can weigh 50+ pounds is required.
