Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) invites nominations and applications for its inaugural Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), a senior leadership opportunity for an accomplished HR executive who wants to do more than manage a function.

As TAMIU's inaugural CHRO, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to help define the position itself and shape the future direction of Human Resources. The CHRO will advise executive leadership on workforce strategy and organizational effectiveness; lead enterprise-wide workforce planning; strengthen recruitment, retention, compensation, employee engagement, leadership development, and succession planning; and help position TAMIU as an employer of choice.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree
• Ten years progressively responsible HR leadership
• Five years leading professional HR staff
• Experience in organizational development
• Experience leading compensation programs
• Experience managing organizational change
• Experience advising executive leadership

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters degree Higher education experience
• Texas public higher education experience Texas A&M System experience
• HRCI, SHRM-SCP, or SPHR certification preferred
• Experience leading HR transformation
• Experience implementing HR technology
• Experience with compensation studies
• Experience supporting executive leadership
