Job Summary Primarily responsible for applying the nursing process to the care of veteran patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room. Responsibilities Assuring that appropriate documentation reflects assessment of patient needs, interdisciplinary treatment plans, clinical intervention, and evaluation of patients' responses to treatments. Assigning and evaluating the work of non-nursing direct care providers assigned to the operating room. Required Skills & Experience Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel. Preferred Skills & Experience N/A Float Requirement To ASC as needed Experience Must have level I Trauma Experience Scrub is a plus Must do endovascular, spine, neuro, ortho, ortho trauma Required Education ASN Preferred Education BSN Required Certifications & Licensure
