Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in your clients.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans in collaboration with clients, focusing on their unique needs, goals, and preferences.

• Utilize evidenced-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate effective therapeutic outcomes.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care strategies to promote sustained health and wellness.

• Monitor client progress, tracking changes, and modifying treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal care delivery.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and medical specialists to provide integrated care that addresses all aspects of the client's wellbeing.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in the treatment of mood disorders to continuously enhance therapeutic practices.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records, in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in active participation within team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development opportunities.

• Advocate for mental health awareness and support clients’ rights to ensure appropriate resources and services are accessible.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on individuals dealing with mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. You will have the opportunity to support a diverse range of clients, including those in vulnerable situations such as the homeless, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse. The aim is to empower them through therapeutic techniques that facilitate recovery and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is a must.
