Benefits Manager

Hybrid Onsite RoleWe’re looking for an experienced and forward‑thinking Benefits Manager to oversee and enhance our North American benefits programs. In this role, you’ll shape benefit strategy, manage key vendor relationships, and ensure our plans remain competitive, compliant, and aligned with employee needs.Responsibilities:Lead benefit program strategy by analyzing market trends, benchmarking plan competitiveness, and recommending enhancements or new offerings that support attraction and retention goalsManage major benefits projects such as Open Enrollment, ACA reporting, 401(k) nondiscrimination testing, and annual audits ensuring timelines, deliverables, and cross‑functional coordination are met with precisionOversee vendor relationships by evaluating performance, negotiating renewals, monitoring service levels, and ensuring brokers, carriers, and record‑keepers deliver high‑quality support and valuePartner with HR teams across North America to troubleshoot benefit issues, align on policy interpretation, and ensure consistent administration across U.S. and Canadian locationsDevelop benefits communication including dashboards, guides, presentations, and training sessions that help employees and HR partners understand plan features, enrollment processes, and leave administrationEnsure compliance by monitoring regulatory changes, maintaining documentation, supporting required filings, and ensuring all plans operate in accordance with federal, state, provincial, and company standardsMaintain SOPs and systems documentation to support accurate, scalable, and audit‑ready benefits operations, including updates tied to system changes or new plan implementationsMore about you:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related fieldPHR, SHRM‑CP, or CEBS certification a plus6+ years of progressive benefits experience, including U.S. and Canadian regulatory knowledgeExperience in global organizations, M&A, healthcare, hearing healthcare, or multi‑unit retail a plusContinuous improvement or change‑management experience a plusStrong analytical, problem‑solving, and project management skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to collaborate across teams and levelsDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detailProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and PowerPointWorking knowledge of integrated benefits and HRIS systems (ADP preferred)A minimum of 200Mb/sec download and 10Mb/sec upload speed internet connectivity is required to support any remote/hybrid employee functionality at SonovaDon't meet all the criteria?
