The Opportunity: We are seeking a results-oriented and customer-focused Senior Email & Subscription Marketing Manager to lead lifecycle marketing, subscription growth, engagement, and retention initiatives for Weiss Ratings Plus. This role combines strategic marketing leadership with hands-on execution across email marketing, customer journeys, subscription funnel optimization, and data-driven growth programs. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in acquiring, engaging, and retaining subscribers while maximizing customer lifetime value. Key Responsibilities: Own Email & Lifecycle Marketing Strategy: Develop and execute email marketing, lifecycle marketing, and customer engagement strategies across the full subscriber journey. Subscription Lifecycle Management: Drive acquisition, onboarding, engagement, retention, win-back, and churn reduction programs for Weiss Ratings Plus. Growth & Acquisition: Partner with marketing teams to increase subscription growth through paid media, organic channels, landing pages, and conversion funnels. Email Campaign Development & Execution: Build, schedule, deploy, and optimize promotional campaigns, nurture programs, triggered communications, and automated customer journeys. Audience Segmentation & Personalization: Create targeted audience segments and personalization strategies to improve engagement and conversion performance. Marketing Automation Management: Manage Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar platforms, including workflows, automations, reporting, and campaign execution. Analytics & Optimization: Monitor KPIs including open rates, click-through rates, conversions, retention, churn, subscriber growth, and customer lifetime value; conduct A/B testing and continuous optimization. Customer Experience & Deliverability: Maintain data integrity, email deliverability, regulatory compliance, and best practices for inbox placement and customer engagement. Video Sales Letter (VSL) Production: Coordinate and manage VSL shoots and promotional video projects in partnership with copywriters, creatives, executives, and production teams. Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Creative, Data, and Marketing teams to launch campaigns, improve user experiences, and support business objectives. Data-Driven Decision Making: Use quantitative and qualitative insights to identify growth opportunities and make strategic recommendations. Stakeholder Communication: Communicate marketing strategy, campaign performance, subscriber trends, and growth opportunities to senior leadership. Qualifications: Required: 5+ years of experience in email marketing, lifecycle marketing, subscription marketing, product marketing, or digital growth marketing. Proven experience managing digital subscriptions, memberships, or direct-to-consumer products. Strong understanding of email marketing best practices, audience segmentation, personalization, and marketing automation. Experience creating and managing automated onboarding, nurture, retention, and trigger-based campaigns. Advanced knowledge of HTML/CSS for responsive email development. Demonstrated success using analytics and testing to drive business outcomes and subscription growth. Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Preferred: Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Experience optimizing subscription funnels, paywalls, checkout flows, onboarding experiences, and retention programs. Familiarity with Agile environments and tools such as Jira and Confluence. Experience managing video production projects, including VSLs, webinars, and promotional content. Knowledge of direct-response marketing principles and conversion-focused content strategies. Background in financial services, investing, fintech, publishing, or subscription-based businesses.
