Job Title RESEARCH TECHNICIAN 2, School of Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine Location & Type Boston, MA, United States – Full‑Time, Regular position. Salary grade 44 (estimated range $20.13‑$25.40 per hour). Responsibilities Schedule and confirm visits within the assigned timeframe, ensuring participants are prepared. Educate participants about the research protocol, inform them of their rights and responsibilities, and obtain informed consent. Conduct telephone or in‑person interviews to complete questionnaires. Process biospecimens (blood and urine samples) for storage. Assist in maintaining study documents, participate in weekly study meetings, and enter clinical data into REDCap. Make notations of participant contact information updates; gather data from collaborating sites, ensuring all forms are complete. Track information and enter it into the database, interpret results, and follow established procedures. Repeat procedures when needed. Inform staff at health centers of missing and required information to ensure all forms meet agency compliance. Provide general clerical support such as handling forms, making reminder phone calls, preparing study materials, sending mail‑outs, filing, making appointments, photocopying, faxing, running reports, etc. Adhere to legal, professional, and ethical codes regarding confidentiality and privacy. Obtain and maintain all study certifications, including Human Subjects Certification. Participate in special projects and other duties as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with 1–3 years of experience. Human Subjects Certification required. Strong organizational and communication skills.
