Seeking a skilled Mainframe Programmer for a long-term remote contract opportunity, responsible for new COBOL development, troubleshooting production issues, and adhering to corporate policies for testing and deploying fixes. Key responsibilities: Develop new COBOL applications in an enterprise environment Troubleshoot and resolve production problems following corporate procedures Test and deploy fixes into the production environment Required qualifications: 5+ years of experience as a COBOL developer or mainframe systems analyst Proficiency in COBOL, DB2, CICS, and SQL Experience with Endevor, TSO/ISPF, File-aid, and Abend-aid Permanent authorization to work in the USA for any employer Effective communication skills in English (written and verbal)
