Job Description Job Title: Property Management Bookkeeper (Commercial & Residential) Software: AppFolio experience is a plus Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to monitor the finances of our growing property management company. You will be responsible for recording financial transactions for both commercial and residential properties , ensuring accuracy in the general ledger. Your role will include processing invoices, managing large bank accounts, and generating reports for upper management. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of professional bookkeeping experience and understands the nuances of property management accounting. Duties and Responsibilities Property Finance: Process invoices for property management (Commercial & Residential) and track rent rolls. Transaction Management: Review financial transactions for accuracy, input them into the correct ledger, and reconcile bank accounts. AP/AR: Pay vendors as they come due, make deposits, and record all cash receipts. Payroll & Compliance: Process company payroll, complete required tax forms, and maintain all financial records. Reporting: Generate regular financial reports for management and balance large bank accounts. Requirements and Qualifications Experience: 4+ years of bookkeeping experience (Property Management industry preferred). Software: Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office; experience with AppFolio is a strong plus. Education: High school diploma or equivalent; degree in business, accounting, or finance preferred. Skills: Strong understanding of invoicing for commercial and residential properties.
