We are looking for a Litigation Associate to join a respected boutique intellectual property practice in Irvine, California. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is ideal for an attorney with 3+ years of litigation experience who is ready to contribute to sophisticated IP matters involving patents, trademarks, copyrights, or trade secrets. The role offers a collaborative team setting, hybrid flexibility, and a manageable billable expectation while providing a path to long-term growth.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare persuasive motions, pleadings, briefs, and other litigation filings for intellectual property disputes.
• Conduct and defend depositions, while developing organized witness preparation materials and examination strategies.
• Oversee discovery activities, including document review, written responses, and coordination of case-related information.
• Partner with attorneys on litigation planning by helping shape case themes, legal arguments, and overall strategy.
• Support hearings and trial readiness through exhibit preparation, fact development, and coordination of key materials.
• Perform legal research and translate findings into practical recommendations that strengthen case positions.• Juris Doctor degree and active admission to the California Bar.
• At least 3 years of litigation experience, with a strong preference for intellectual property matters.
• Background handling disputes involving patent, trademark, copyright, or trade secret issues.
• Demonstrated ability to draft litigation documents with precision, clarity, and sound legal analysis.
• Experience taking or defending depositions in a civil litigation environment.
• Strong legal research, case management, and written advocacy skills.
• Licensed attorney with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid, team-oriented practice.
