Job Title

Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse – Float Pool (36 hrs., Nights & Every Other Weekend)

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Float between up to 8 different Med/Surg Telemetry units throughout the facility, including ED, acute mental health, and ICU overflow areas
• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring, interpret telemetry strips every 4 hours, and measure cardiac intervals
• Manage cardiac drips and apply TR Band experience as required by patient condition
• Provide care for ED border patients, serve as medication nurse in the acute mental health unit, and care for non-vented transfer-ready ICU patients
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR
• Operate within a nurse-to-patient ratio of up to 6:1 on night shifts

Required Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience in a single facility
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a travel nurse
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, including strip interpretation and cardiac drip management
• TR Band experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of dedicated Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• Prior experience with EPIC electronic medical records
• Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly across multiple unit types in a float pool setting
