Your organization develops and implements the manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts that build our products within the ACS and F-35 market segments — and drives the adoption of new technologies like automation, AI implementation, and computer-aided manufacturing to make our factories faster, leaner, and higher quality. You'll help modernize and accelerate the TLS factories and the way they run.Lead and drive your team, aligning day-to-day execution with the broader goals of the manufacturing engineering organizationLead and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers responsible for process development, equipment installation, build sequencing, and production layoutCoach, mentor, and grow your engineers, supporting their development and setting them up to succeedDrive the adoption of new manufacturing technologies — automation, AI implementation, CAM software, and 3D model-based data and digital work instructions — to optimize how we buildPartner upstream with Design Engineering early in the product lifecycle, providing manufacturing input on design concepts and specification requirements so our products are built right the first timeChampion operational excellence: evaluate equipment and tooling performance, investigate problems and deficiencies, and drive corrective action to keep production runningUse factory data and analytics to find opportunities and fuel continuous improvementCollaborate across technical and non-technical teams to identify, implement, and sustain improvementsKeep stakeholders and your team aligned on key process improvement efforts through clear, consistent communicationWHO YOU AREYou are a strong leader who can guide and develop your team, can rally your team and others around objectives, and can drive efforts to successful completion. We provide the resources, inspiration, and focus - if you have the resourcefulness and perseverance to work hard, then we want to create a better tomorrowwith you.Basic Qualifications• Awarded Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering• 5 or more years of relevant engineering experience in a manufacturing production environment developing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes• Has the ability to analyze electrical and mechanical schematics and diagrams• Must be highly detailed-oriented due to the nature of electrical & electromechanical assemblies• Microsoft Office suite experience with MS Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelDesired Skills• 5 to 10 years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience in a production environment developing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes• Generates manufacturing work instructions, process documentation, or standard operating procedures• Applies design for manufacturing concepts• Uses ERP/MRP and MES systems• Uses modeling tools -- Creo, for example• Trains and develops early career team members to perform work functions• Strong interpersonal skills and is able to work effectively in a team environment• Excellent verbal/written communications skills• Self-starter with demonstrated self-initiated goals and results• Multitasks in support of multiple concurrent programs and initiatives• Detail-oriented to research requirements and ensure all are met• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts and technique and experience• Performs root cause analysis and initiates corrective actionsPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
