Principal, Product Specialist - Private Equity

26North is recruiting a Principal, Product Specialist – Private Equity to join our Business Development team in a senior role that combines product expertise, client engagement, and strategic leadership. As a Principal, you will serve as a subject matter expert on Private Equity and other equity‑oriented funds, acting as a bridge between investment teams and investors. You will shape product development, craft compelling narratives for clients, and play a key role in the growth of our platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead product management initiatives for private equity, including market research, content creation, and competitive positioning across equity strategies (flagship Private Equity, Infrastructure, etc.) as well as co‑investments and continuation vehicles
• Partner with investment leadership to refine product structures and ensure alignment with client needs
• Lead creation of fundraising and marketing materials, including pitchbooks, DDQs, and RFPs
• Function as a senior resource to Business Development team, collaborating with junior resources to train and execute on strategy objectives
• Provide commercial insights to support fundraising efforts, sales initiatives, and strategic account planning
• Maintain and improve data management systems for diligence trackers, investor pipelines, and content libraries
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, finance, and operations teams to ensure smooth execution of new products
• Develop thought leadership pieces, market commentary, and external communications to strengthen the firm’s brand

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of experience in private equity, alternatives product strategy, investor relations, or capital raising
• Strong expertise in private equity structures and markets, including co‑investments
• Proven ability to support or lead successful institutional fundraising initiatives
• Experience managing and developing junior team members
• Exceptional analytical and research skills with proficiency in financial modeling and Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience presenting to institutional investors
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field required; MBA, CFA, or equivalent advanced credential a plus
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across functions, with a strong attention to detail and project management skills

Compensation & Benefits

26North offers a competitive base salary and discretionary bonus based on performance as well as a comprehensive benefits package. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $180,000.00 and $250,000.00. The base salary offered to the chosen candidate will be commensurate with a candidate’s relevant experience and other qualifications for the position, as determined by the Company in its sole discretion.
