Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Masters degree in Physical Therapy is required
• Current and valid New Mexico physical therapist license
• Experience providing physical therapy in schools or with pediatric populations is highly preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, educators, and other professionals
• Knowledge of IEP processes, documentation requirements, and best practices in school-based physical therapy

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to the needs of students across elementary, middle, and high schools
• Deliver direct therapy services to students in line with IEP goals or Section 504 plans
• Collaborate with teachers, other therapists, and district staff to promote inclusion and student participation
• Maintain accurate records and progress notes in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
• Provide training and resources to school staff and families to support student carryover and generalization of skills
• Participate in IEP meetings and support the evaluation and re-evaluation process
