HR Generalist

About the Role We are seeking a strategic, hands‑on HR Generalist to support multiple warehouse and distribution center locations (Chicago, Good Year, and San Antonio, TX). This role serves as a trusted advisor to site leadership, driving HR strategy while executing day‑to‑day HR operations across a geographically dispersed, high‑volume workforce. You will play a critical role in aligning business objectives with people strategies, strengthening leadership capability, and ensuring a consistent and compliant employee experience across all sites. Key Responsibilities Answer routine HR inquiries, including collection, verification, and dissemination of information on disciplines, records, wages, absences, hiring, and related policies. Participate in recruitment by reviewing resumes, posting jobs, interviewing candidates, conducting orientation, and completing new‑hire paperwork. Conduct new‑hire safety orientation, risk assessments, and ongoing safety training. Assist with payroll and related records; update and maintain employee information and HRIS systems. Gather and maintain information for reports; support report preparation. Work with Employee Representatives to resolve issues and grievances under the Collective Agreement. Ensure enrollment and updates for employee benefits. Investigate accidents and incidents to determine causes and implement preventive measures. Maintain seniority lists and related data. Perform other duties as assigned. Key Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in human resources, labor relations, business, or a related field. 3 to 5 years of professional experience in HR, payroll, customer service, or general office duties in logistics, manufacturing, or a related field. Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, and HRIS systems. Knowledge of HR principles, procedures, and local laws/regulations.
