Description
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients across all age groups using both standardized tests and observational methods.
- Create customized treatment plans that focus on immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
- Deliver targeted speech therapy interventions, concentrating on language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
- Collaborate seamlessly with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members to ensure a holistic approach to each patient's care.
- Provide educational resources to patients and families to encourage progress outside clinic visits.
- Perform sporadic inpatient assessments and interventions, ensuring a seamless experience for patients throughout their therapy journey.
- Adhere to comprehensive documentation processes that meet state, federal, and institutional standards.
- Stay informed on the latest in the field through ongoing training and collaboration with colleagues.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.
- Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory within 30 days of hire.
- Expertise in evidence-based practice for diverse populations, with in-depth knowledge of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing issues.
- Outstanding communication skills, engaging effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to adapt therapy methods for varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong clinical insight and problem-solving aptitude.
- Comfortable navigating electronic medical records and associated documentation expectations.
