Company Overview

A high-growth plaintiff-side law firm is seeking a VP, Growth Marketing & Technology to lead its end-to-end customer acquisition engine across performance marketing, marketing technology, web, analytics, content, search engine optimization (SEO) and emerging artificial intelligence (AI)-driven search.

The firm operates in a highly performance-driven environment where marketing is closely tied to intake conversion, signed-client growth, case quality and return on ad spend.

Position Summary

The VP, Growth Marketing & Technology will own the strategy and performance of the firm’s customer acquisition function, with responsibility for turning significant marketing investment into qualified leads, signed clients and high-value cases.

This role will lead cross-functional marketing teams and external partners, oversee acquisition performance against daily and monthly targets, and work closely with Intake and executive leadership to improve conversion, attribution, case quality and growth economics.

Key Responsibilities

• Own customer acquisition strategy across Google, Meta, Bing, YouTube, connected TV/over-the-top (CTV/OTT), partnerships and additional paid channels.
• Set acquisition budgets, channel mix and performance targets by practice area.
• Monitor daily, weekly and monthly performance across spend, lead volume, cost per lead, cost per acquisition, signed clients and return on ad spend.
• Reallocate spend and adjust strategy based on conversion, lead quality and downstream case economics.
• Partner closely with Intake leadership on lead quality, disposition and signed-client conversion.
• Use intake and case-performance feedback to refine targeting, channel mix and acquisition strategy.
• Own the strategic roadmap across marketing technology, attribution, call tracking, automation and performance reporting.
• Oversee website performance, landing pages, conversion optimization and web-development priorities.
• Provide strategic oversight across SEO, content and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).
• Lead and develop internal marketing teams while managing external agencies, technology partners and vendors.
• Present acquisition performance, forecasts, risks and recommendations directly to executive leadership.
• Partner with Finance, Intake, Legal/Compliance and Information Technology on initiatives affecting growth and customer acquisition.

Required Experience

• Significant experience leading growth, customer acquisition or performance marketing in a high-volume consumer environment.
• Proven ownership of substantial paid-media budgets and measurable acquisition targets.
• Strong hands-on understanding of Google Ads and multi-channel performance marketing.
• Deep knowledge of cost per lead, cost per acquisition, conversion, attribution and return on ad spend.
• Experience connecting marketing activity to downstream sales, intake or customer conversion.
• Experience leading cross-functional marketing teams and external agencies/vendors.
• Strong working knowledge of marketing technology, analytics, call tracking, automation and web conversion infrastructure.
• Experience presenting performance, forecasts and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, highly accountable environment where performance is measured daily.

Preferred Experience

• Plaintiff-side legal marketing experience.
• Experience within another high-cost, high-value consumer acquisition environment such as insurance, financial services, healthcare, home services or consumer marketplaces.
• Experience overseeing SEO, content, web performance and emerging AI-driven search strategies.
• Experience managing complex vendor and agency relationships.

This role requires a growth executive who can lead multiple specialized teams as one acquisition function, partner closely with Intake on downstream conversion, and translate marketing performance into clear business decisions for the C-suite.

Success will be measured by signed-client growth, acquisition efficiency, case quality, conversion performance and return on marketing investment.
