Program Manager , AWS Legal

Overview Amazon's Legal Department is looking for a talented and motivated Program Manager to support Amazon Web Services (AWS). AWS is at the forefront of the cloud computing and service industry, providing IT infrastructure services such as on-demand compute capacity, storage, content delivery, database services, browsers and more. The successful candidate will join the AWS Sales and Marketing Legal team and work closely with legal team members and cross-functional business partners to manage and run projects of varying complexity and size. Key Responsibilities Use program management skills to support the legal team by creating and managing tools, educating and coaching legal colleagues on project management, and designing projects for global roll-out. See the big picture and incorporate problem solving, strategic thinking, and tactical execution with a focus on ownership of improving the team’s systems and processes. Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information, and work well with people at all levels. A day in the life Be part of a global team of PMs in the Program Management Organization (PMO). The PMO’s mission is to raise the bar on project management across the Sales and Marketing Legal org, delivering high-impact projects effectively and efficiently. Use solid PM skills to help achieve this mission. Collaborate with legal colleagues and PMO customers on projects of varying size via project meetings, email, and instant messaging. Work on projects with colleagues in other geos (e.g., EMEA and APJC) and demonstrate flexibility. Projects may include process improvement, tool builds, creating reporting mechanisms, and updating internal documentation. Ensure stakeholders are informed on project deliverables, timelines, and other pertinent information. Use writing skills to share project updates, draft PRFAQs, and other documents as needed. Basic Qualifications 3+ years of program or project management experience Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements Bachelor's degree Effective communication with all levels of the organization Preferred Qualifications Master's degree or above in a relevant field Active project management certification (e.g., APM, CSM, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2) Experience driving end-to-end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership Experience handling ambiguous or undefined challenges with strong problem-solving abilities Experience with reporting and Data Visualization tools such as QuickSight, Tableau, Power BI, or other BI packages Experience conducting sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translating results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations Experience building cross-functional partnerships and influencing stakeholders without direct reporting lines Experience with software development or managing a software system; including assessing cost/benefit and configuring for user experience Equal Opportunity Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
