Staff Accountant Apopka, FL Description About the Opportunity We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to join our growing construction group of companies. This position plays a key role in supporting the accounting function across multiple entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and efficient day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, enjoys working with numbers, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Construction industry experience and strong GL accounting fundamentals are required. Key Responsibilities Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analysis. Perform daily cash reconciliations and record related journal entries. Manage company credit card transactions, expense coding, and documentation. Maintain business registrations and assist with sales and use tax filings. Set up and maintain vendor and customer records. Assist with audits, tax filings, and special projects. Ensure accurate financial records and compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Collaborate with internal departments to resolve accounting-related issues. Requirements Qualifications ~ Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required. ~3–5 years of accounting experience; construction industry experience required. ~ Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. ~ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is a plus. ~ Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. ~ Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
