This position is designed to be fully remote, offering flexibility while maintaining high-quality, client-centered care. Within our outpatient framework, you will have the resources of a well-equipped virtual clinic, including access to state-of-the-art electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to streamline operations and client management.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and interviews, ensuring meticulous documentation from the initial consultation through treatment completion.

• Design individualized treatment plans that address clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health needs, incorporating evidence-based approaches.
\n
• Facilitate dynamic individual and group therapy sessions, fostering an engaging therapeutic environment that encourages open communication.
\n
• Monitor client progress throughout the treatment journey and refine intervention plans as necessary to enhance effectiveness.
\n
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health professionals, to create integrated treatment approaches.

• Develop and implement appropriate referral strategies for clients requiring specialized care or services beyond the clinic’s offerings.

• Engage with family members and significant others to support their understanding and management of mental health challenges faced by the client.

• Stay abreast of industry developments and best practices to ensure the highest standard of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse array of clients, including individuals, couples, families, and groups from various backgrounds facing mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Your ability to connect with clients empathetically and constructively will play a significant role in their recovery and overall well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in the state of Maryland.
\n
• A strong understanding of and successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, complemented by strong interpersonal abilities and a sympathetic nature.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience as a mental health counselor with a demonstrated ability to handle diverse client needs.

• Proficient with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR.

• Experience in dealing with co-occurring disorders, encompassing both physical health and addiction-related challenges.

• A familiarity with best practices as recommended by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• In-depth knowledge of psychotropic medications and their effects, enhancing your therapeutic effectiveness.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. A sign-on bonus is also available, contributing to an attractive overall compensation package.
