Splish Splash Bartender

The Bartender will instill a customer service focused attitude and a commitment to ensuring the highest standard of service to provide a positive guest experience. Roles & Responsibilities Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner as they approach the bar Protect establishment and patrons by strictly adhering to company policy as well as all state/local Health Department regulations, sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies Maintain professional appearance and adhere to uniform standards Present menus to guests and promote specials and/or specialty house drinks Check guest identification to ensure that they meet the minimum age requirement for consumption of alcoholic beverages Operate restaurant equipment efficiently (telephone, juice machine, soda fountain, etc.) Maintain knowledge of menu items and assist guests by explaining preparation methods Take guest orders, communicate orders to kitchen, and serve food and beverages in a friendly and professional manner Periodically check on guests to ensure all needs and expectations are being met Monitor guests for potential intoxication and determine when alcohol service should cease Adhere to all bar related RAMP, TIPS, and I-PACT safety training protocols Use Point of Sale (POS) and registers to accurately run tabs, prepare checks, and record all financial transactions Store and stock refrigerators, ice machines, cups, straws, napkins, and other service items as needed Sanitize and clean service areas, bar tops, and surrounding bar areas as needed Manage to-go orders and retrieve them from the kitchen as needed Escalate any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or emergencies to the proper authorities promptly Perform other duties assigned by leadership Pay Rate: $17 / hr. Education and Experience No specific education required 1+ year of bartender experience desirable but not required Experience with alcoholic beverage serving and associated regulations helpful Must be Bartender/Server Certified (TIPS, RAMP, I-PACT, or similar) or obtain certification within 30 days of hire when required by state and local guidelines Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with child labor laws Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and until later hours of the night Negative TB test within the last two years Reliable transportation to and from scheduled shifts Compliance with all uniform policies Refrain from on‑the‑job consumption of alcohol Safety‑oriented mindset and compliance with all state and local beverage preparation and serving regulations Exceptional customer service skills with ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns positively and professionally Positive engagement with guests to promote sales and satisfaction Prior Point of Sale (POS) technology and PCI compliance experience a plus Ability to follow direction, multi‑task, and work independently and as part of a team Physical Requirements Stand, walk, and remain on feet for the majority of the workday Frequently stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders Remain sedentary for periods while using a computer or POS Withstand heat and humidity from food preparation equipment Carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing up to 40 pounds Use step stools as needed Working Conditions Role based in one or more food and beverage or restaurant locations throughout the park Exposure to indoor and outdoor environments with variable temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, and other weather conditions Constant repetitive motion, high noise levels, flashing lights, and heavily populated environments Frequent handling of cleaning chemicals and detergents Frequent interruptions and requests that may require re‑prioritization of activities Benefits Flexible schedule Cross‑training opportunities across various departments Free admission to Splish Splash on days off Invitations to exclusive employee events throughout the season Participation in a company that values family balance and career development We are an equal‑opportunity employer.
