Role Description The Consulting Chief Financial Officer is a full‑time, on‑site role based in San Francisco, CA, responsible for leading financial strategy and oversight across IXSAR Capital and selected portfolio companies. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include developing and maintaining financial plans and models, overseeing budgeting and forecasting, and providing strategic guidance on capital allocation and fundraising. The role involves reviewing and interpreting financial statements, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and establishing robust internal controls and financial processes. The Consulting CFO will collaborate with partners and founders on scenario analysis, risk management, and performance metrics, and will present financial insights and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders. Qualifications Strong finance and financial planning skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and modeling. Expertise in financial statements and financial reporting, with the ability to interpret and present complex data clearly. Advanced analytical skills, including scenario planning, variance analysis, and data‑driven decision‑making. Extensive experience in venture capital, private equity, or high‑growth startup environments, ideally in technology sectors. Proven track record in building and improving financial systems, controls, and compliance frameworks. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to executive leadership and boards. Ability to work on‑site in San Francisco, CA, and collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams and founders.
