The equipment consists of Marvair and Bard wall mount units, Carrier, Trane, Goodman residential split systems, McLean outside cabinet units and outside air economizer systems. Essential duties and responsibilities include:Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical components of HVAC systemsPerform routine preventative maintenanceRespond to emergency service requestsAdhere to all safety policies and proceduresKnowledge, skills, and abilities required include:Willing to work nights and weekends on a rotating on-call team to respond to emergency calls 24/7.Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and system controls.Must have knowledge of HVAC systems and be able to troubleshoot and service commercial equipment under 10 tons.Capable of daily travel to the job site(s) with an independent work structureProfessional communication skills.Ability to read and understand wiring schematics, diagnostic skills on basic refrigeration and electronic control circuits utilizing the latest monitoring tools and dexterity to repair field problems.Ability to provide accurate and timely documentation, reporting and commentary, which accurately reflect field conditions.Basic computer skills required.Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen.HVAC Technician Level I: Minimum qualifications include:High school diplomaHVAC school: 200 hours minimumValid current driver's license and driving record that meets company standards required.Department of Transportation (DOT) medical certificate150 electrical code hours, 4000 work hoursCertification/License:Valid EPA certificationHVAC Technician Level II: Minimum qualifications include:High school diplomaHVAC school: 200 hours minimum20 hours of continuing education trainingValid current driver's license and driving record that meets company standards required.Department of Transportation (DOT) medical certificate150 electrical code hours, 4000 work hoursCertification/License:Valid EPA certificationHVAC Technician Level III: Minimum qualifications include:High school diplomaHVAC school: 200 hours minimum80 hours of continuing education training and/or pass the NATE Service (CHP-5) certification testValid current driver's license and driving record that meets company standards required.Department of Transportation (DOT) medical certificate150 electrical code hours, 6000 work hoursCertification/License:Valid EPA certificationPhysical demands include standing, using hands to manipulate objects, tools, or controls; talking and hearing; walking; stooping, crouching, bending, and reaching above shoulders; lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance, waist high, up to 10 feet away. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
