Job Type: Full-time, exempt Location: Greensboro, NC (On-site) Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

 

Position Summary:

Replacements, Ltd., the world's largest retailer of tableware, is hiring a full-time Facilities Supervisor to join our Facilities Team.

In this role, you'll help lead the maintenance and operation of our 500,000-square-foot headquarters and distribution facility, along with several off-site properties. You'll provide day-to-day leadership for a team responsible for building systems, equipment, repairs, preventive maintenance, grounds maintenance, vendor coordination, and facility improvement projects that keep our operation running safely and efficiently.

We're looking for a hands-on leader who enjoys solving problems, supporting employees, and working alongside their team when needed. The Facilities Supervisor plays a key role in maintaining our buildings, equipment, and infrastructure while promoting safety, productivity, and excellent service throughout the organization. This is an opportunity to combine technical knowledge, leadership skills, and operational oversight in a unique and fast-paced environment.

 

What You'll Do:

• Lead and support the day-to-day activities of the Facilities team, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance programs, repairs, inspections, and facility improvement projects.
• Supervise maintenance activities for buildings, equipment, grounds, and off-site locations.
• Prioritize work orders, assign tasks, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of maintenance requests.
• Partner with internal departments, contractors, vendors, and service providers to support facility-related projects and services.
• Help oversee facility management systems, maintenance records, inspections, and departmental reporting.
• Provide coaching, training, and development to team members while promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
• Manage employee schedules, timekeeping, attendance, and staffing needs to ensure appropriate coverage.
• Conduct quality and safety inspections and help maintain compliance with company policies and safety standards.
• Support hiring, onboarding, performance management, and employee development initiatives.
• Assist with budgeting, inventory management, purchasing, and resource planning.
• Respond to facility emergencies and support after-hours or on-call needs when required.
• Participate in company initiatives, cross-functional projects, and continuous improvement efforts.

• Experience leading or supervising employees in a facilities, maintenance, building operations, or related environment.
• Strong knowledge of facility maintenance practices, preventive maintenance programs, and equipment operations.
• Experience coordinating multiple projects, priorities, and work schedules in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to motivate, coach, and develop employees while fostering a positive team culture.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Experience working with vendors, contractors, and service providers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and computerized maintenance management systems or similar technology.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of facilities, maintenance, building operations, or related experience.
• Previous supervisory, leadership, or management experience in a facilities, maintenance, warehouse, manufacturing, or similar environment.
• Experience in one or more skilled trades, such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical maintenance, or building systems.
• Experience coordinating preventive maintenance programs and facility repair activities.
• Experience with employee scheduling, workforce coordination, attendance management, and timekeeping systems.
• Experience using computerized maintenance management systems, such as MaintainX, or similar maintenance software.
• Experience working with vendors, contractors, and service providers.
• Experience training employees on equipment operation, workplace safety, and maintenance procedures.
• OSHA, forklift, powered industrial equipment, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or other facilities-related certifications are a plus.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record preferred

 

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in a facilities, maintenance, and warehouse environment with frequent walking throughout a 500,000-square-foot facility and off-site locations.
• Regular standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing stairs throughout the workday.
• Ability to safely climb ladders and access elevated work areas as needed.
• Ability to occasionally push, pull, and maneuver equipment, carts, tools, and materials.
• Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to safely operate or train others on industrial powered equipment and other department-specific equipment, as required.
• Ability to respond to facility emergencies, urgent maintenance situations, and after-hours issues when needed.
• Must be able to visually inspect buildings, equipment, grounds, and work areas to identify maintenance, safety, and operational concerns.
