Come join us!The RoleOverjet is looking for a Revenue Accounting Manager, reporting to our Director of Accounting, to own ASC 606 compliance, contract review, and SaaS revenue reporting from the ground up.You'll have the opportunity to modernize our controls and approval workflows, shape how revenue partners with Billing, Systems, and FP&A, and transform how the function runs as we scale. You'll have the opportunity to build out and grow the revenue accounting function in our high-growth startup environment.Transform and up-level existing processes. You'll improve and own the controls and approval workflows for various types of revenue/transactions, leveraging AI to build automation in the process.Own high-visibility work. Revenue is one of the most important lines in our financials, and you'll be the one entrusted to grow and manage it.Cross-functional by design. You'll work closely with Billing, Financial Systems, and FP&A leaders.ResponsibilitiesOwn the end-to-end revenue recognition process in compliance with ASC 606, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across monthly, quarterly, and annual closePrepare and review revenue-related journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysisReview customer contracts to determine appropriate revenue treatment, partnering with Legal, Sales, and Deal Desk on new and complex deal structuresCoordinate closely with Billing Operations on revenue cutoff and month-end close, resolving discrepancies between billing and revenue dataPartner with Financial Systems to ensure accurate transactional data flow between Salesforce and NetSuite, including reviewing approval workflows and data integrity controlsWork with FP&A to reconcile ARR to recognized revenue, explain variances, and support forecastingOwn NetSuite ARM configuration and revenue recognition schedulesPrepare audit-ready documentation and support external auditors on revenue-related requestsLeverage AI to build automation for establishing scalable revenue accounting processes as the function growsQualifications5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with meaningful exposure to SaaS revenue accountingCPA requiredPublic accounting background strongly preferredExperience using NetSuite or a similar ERP systemStrong working knowledge of ASC 606Experience with SaaS revenue recognition strongly preferredExperience preparing technical accounting memosComfortable partnering cross-functionally with Billing, Systems, and FP&A teamsExperience with Salesforce and CRM-to-ERP data flows strongly preferredStrong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage competing deadlinesSelf-starter who's energized by building and improving processes by leveraging AIWhy Overjet?Competitive Compensation and EquityHybrid workplace that provides flexibility, vibrant in-person workspaces, and the ability to build strong connections across all of Overjet - regardless of location401k plans with a matching programMedical, Dental and Vision coverage: 99% employee premium covered, 75% dependent premium coveredLife and AD+D Insurance8 weeks Paid Parental LeaveOptional HSA with Employer contributionFlexible Time Off and company paid holidaysAnnual Learning and Development StipendOur Hybrid WorkplaceWe have a unique hybrid workplace at Overjet — which combines the teamwork of meeting in person, with the flexibility of working from anywhere.Many of our positions are based in San Mateo, New York City, Boston, and Salt Lake City.
