DPW Director The DPW Director directs, plans, and manages all work related to all Department of Public Works activities. This role establishes department goals, objectives, and work plans. The Director oversees the planning, design, construction and maintenance of a major division of the City including all elements of the public infrastructure roadway network, wastewater collection, water supply and distribution systems, surface and subsurface storm water collection systems, the Department's public facilities, the transportation, bridge, and culvert systems, and the City's street lighting, traffic signals. Mon-Fri 7:00am - 3:30pm plus nights and weekends as needed. Parks Maintenance Department The Parks Maintenance Department is responsible for maintaining over 500 acres of Parks Department properties and 14 buildings. This includes 16 tennis courts 8 outdoor basketball courts 25 playgrounds a skate park an outdoor dog park over 50 sports fields 3 beaches a bocce court an indoor skating arena and facilities such as City Hall, Bowditch Field Athletic and Cultural Complex, Butterworth Park, Cushing Memorial Park, Farm Pond Park, Loring Arena, Mary Dennison Park and Victory Field.
