Position: Lending Business Analyst (Remote)

Location: 100% Remote

Duration : 6 months

Job Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced Lending Business Analyst to support end-to-end analysis and documentation of loan origination, underwriting, servicing, and collections processes. This role requires deep expertise in lending regulations and the ability to translate complex business and compliance requirements into clear, actionable documentation.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Analyze and document loan origination, underwriting, and servicing workflows; capture underwriting rules, eligibility criteria, pricing logic, credit-policy exceptions, and disclosure requirements
• Gather functional and business requirements from stakeholders; conduct interviews and working sessions to validate requirements and maintain traceability across loan lifecycle processes
• Perform gap analysis between current and desired-state processes; identify data-quality issues, control gaps, process inconsistencies, and exception patterns
• Document collections and recovery workflows, including third-party collection agency interactions, legal collections, decision points, and escalation paths
• Analyze servicing processes covering payment processing, account management, delinquency, hardship programs, transfers, reconciliations, and credit-reporting data flows
• Develop current-state and future-state process flows and business requirements documents; support requirements implementation and user acceptance testing
• Work with Legal, Compliance, Operations, Product, and Technology stakeholders to translate regulatory requirements into documented business processes
• Analyze operational data and trends to identify process improvements and support cross-functional coordination on servicing and collections enhancements

Requirements

• 5 8 years of business analysis experience in lending, loan origination, underwriting, servicing, or collections environments
• Strong knowledge of lending regulations: ECOA/Regulation B , TILA/Regulation Z , FCRA/Regulation V , UDAAP/UDAP , SCRA , and FDCPA/Regulation F
• Demonstrated expertise in loan origination, underwriting, payment processing, loan servicing, collections, and recovery management
• Proficiency in process documentation, gap analysis, stakeholder management, and requirements gathering
• Experience analyzing process and data flows, identifying control gaps, and documenting operational workflows
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to work across cross-functional teams
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
