Accounts Payable Specialist

We are partnering with a growing distribution company seeking an Accounts Payable & Document Control Specialist to join their accounting team. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with long-term potential for the right candidate.

What You'll Do

• Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently
  
  
• Perform three-way matching of purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices
  
  
• Maintain electronic records and document management systems
  
  
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and pricing variances
  
  
• Communicate with vendors regarding invoices, payments, and account reconciliations
  
  
• Support weekly check runs and electronic payment processing
  
  
• Prepare and organize accounting documentation for processing and audits
  
  
• Partner with Purchasing, Warehouse, Customer Service, Sales, and Receiving teams to resolve invoice issues
  
  
• Ensure compliance with company policies and approval processes
  
  
• Assist with process improvements and workflow efficiencies
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Previous Accounts Payable experience required
  
  
• Experience in distribution, manufacturing, or inventory-driven environments preferred
  
  
• Experience with document management systems such as DocuWare is a plus
  
  
• ERP experience preferred; Microsoft Dynamics GP experience highly desirable
  
  
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  
  
• Excellent data entry accuracy and attention to detail
  
  
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  
  
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  
  
• Team-oriented mindset with a positive and professional attitude
