What you will do:

• The Director of Sales is responsible for bringing purpose and a plan of action for customer accounts.
• The role will manage a team of Sales professionals that sell products for various manufacturers or distributors to business establishments.
• This position works closely with and builds strong relationships with customers, partners, and cross functional teams.
• As a member of the sales leadership team, the incumbent is expected to manage their book of business and make effective decisions that support sustainable growth.
• Develop self and others – assign and accept challenging assignments to expand professional knowledge and capabilities of self and others.
• Embody personal leadership qualities that are in line with our cultural 10 Principles to drive behavior and language that promotes respect and accountability.
• Ensure Sales team makes consistent sales calls on assigned accounts.
• Reviews performance of the Sales team as it relates to overall sales goals.
• Survey new potential account and existing account on a regular basis.
• Develop strong customer and vendor relationships.
• Ability to partner and work cross functional with internal support teams.
• Analyze changes in the market conditions as they apply to territory.
• Develop broad product knowledge to assist customer with product application.
• Develop annual budget and manage overall department P&L.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.

What you will bring:

• Electrical, Industrial and/or distribution experience preferred but not required.
• Bachelor's degree (B.A or B.S.) from a 4-year college or University.
• 10+ years' in managing professionals, preferably in Sales Management; or Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven track record of directing, developing and managing people.
• Drive continual improvement through ongoing training and mentoring.
• Possess the attitude of wanting to learn, teach and lead.
• Ability to establish strong working relationships with co-workers and other leaders.
• Strong planning, execution, and analytical skills.
• Ability to identify and communicate customer financial problems to Upper Management.
• Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills.
• Must possess excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to travel locally and nationally when required.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary business information.

Location: This role is based in Sacramento, CA. Work hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm. Salary Range: This is an exempt position that pays $196,000 - $211,966 annually. This salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, within California. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role.
