Full-Time Nurse Practitioner in a Collaborative Hospital Setting

Position Overview

Gotham Enterprises Ltd, located in sunny Orlando, Florida, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team in a full-time capacity. This role is ideal for a passionate healthcare professional who is committed to delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic hospital environment. The Nurse Practitioner will work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, performing in-depth patient evaluations, creating treatment plans, and providing educational support to patients.

Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and obtain comprehensive medical histories from patients.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood tests and imaging studies, to inform treatment decisions.
• Diagnose acute and chronic conditions, developing and implementing individualized patient care plans.
• Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with established medical protocols, ensuring patient safety and effectiveness.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, preventive care measures, and prescribed treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records, managing schedules and patient follow-ups.
• Collaborate closely with physicians and fellow Nurse Practitioners to optimize patient care and enhance health outcomes.
• Promote community health initiatives, advocating for preventive measures to reduce disease incidence.
• Participate in professional development activities, including research, to remain abreast of industry advancements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will serve a diverse patient population, addressing a range of health issues from acute illnesses to chronic disease management. The primary focus will be on family health, internal medicine, and urgent care. You will be instrumental in not only treating but also educating patients about lifestyle choices that contribute to their overall well-being.

Qualifications

• Graduated with a Master’s degree in Nursing, with a focus on Nurse Practitioner specialization.
• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Florida, along with a current DEA number.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a hospital, clinic, or emergency room setting.
• Proficient in both acute and chronic care management, with a background in family health or internal medicine being highly desirable.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Strong ethical standards and dedication to patient confidentiality.
• Commitment to lifelong learning and a proactive approach to professional development.

Preferred Experience

While all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply, experience in specialties such as cardiology, urgent care, or emergency medicine will be considered a strong advantage. Candidates who are bilingual will also receive preference, as enhanced communication can significantly improve patient care outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits
