Performs assembly using a combination of SMT and through-hole parts, reworking SMT boards, assembling cables and mechanical assembly of Printed Circuit Assemblies.What You'll Do:Reads and understands customers drawing(s), SOPs, work instructions, equipment manuals and requirements specified in the manufacturing travelerInterpret J-STD and IPC 610 standards for acceptability and customer specificationsVerifies assembly traveler quantity to final count and notify management in cases of discrepancyVerifies correct part numbers being used for the specific job being runPerforms hand placement as neededMonitors the output of machines to ensure qualityEnsures the quality of product produced on the SMT line (correct parts, polarity, etc)Uses various SMT tooling, solder paste stencil, PCB fixturesPerforms rework of SMT components, visual inspection, hand solder and de-solderPerforms visual inspections of SMT assembliesTroubleshoots and perform simple repairs when machines are not functioning properlyAssists in performing machine preventative maintenance on screen printer and pick and place machines based on assigned schedules.Performs all other job tasks as needed and assignedWhat You'll Bring:Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in EnglishAbility to read and understand customer drawing, requirement, SOPs, work instruction, manufacturing traveler and safety rulesKnowledge of or previously certified in J-STD-001, IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronics Assemblies and ESD control requirementMust be familiar with Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) electronic components and SMT assembly process.Ability to use a microscope, SMT equipment, screen printer, AOI and x-ray machinesAbility to program, set-up and process the jobsMust be proficient in PCB soldering including SMT and thru-hole technology and have familiarity with electronic components.Ability to use small hand tools including soldering iron, pliers, crimpers, screwdrivers and measuring devicesFamiliarity with different CAD data formats such as Gerber dataMust be detail-orientedExcellent attendance and punctualityNear Vision Requirement: 20/20 minimum one eye with corrected glasses or not correctedWilling to work overtime as neededEducation and Experience:High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferredMinimum of 2 years of Assembly SMT experience in PCB or electronics manufacturing and assembly industryPlease note that in addition to frequent standing and walking, the work environment requires lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 25 pounds; as well as repetitive hand and finger motion.Schedule :Monday to Friday1st Shift: 7:30am to 4:00pmOvertime and Weekends as requiredJob Type: Full-time / PermanentCalifornia Pay Range$20 - $26 USDThe actual compensation offered is based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and other relevant business considerations.Pioneer Circuits provides a comprehensive benefits package for all full-time roles, encompassing healthcare, dental, and vision insurance for employees and eligible dependents.
