Job Offer: Junior Varsity Girls Tennis Coach Location: Hopkinton High School, Hopkinton, Massachusetts Starting Date: Mar 1, 2027 Type: Part‑time; Spring sports season; stipend commensurate with experience (range $3,386-$5,079) NOTE: Payment may be contingent on the athletic season being officially held; for a partial season, it may be prorated. Responsibilities The Junior Varsity Girls Tennis Coach works with student‑athletes to teach fundamentals of the sport and the concept of competing as a member of a team, while fostering physical fitness and continuous development of skills. The coach models exemplary behavior, promotes social, emotional, and physical growth, and emphasizes continuous improvement, teamwork, diversity, sportsmanship, pride, and work ethic, providing a safe, positive, and enjoyable experience. Qualifications MIAA Coaching certificate if first serving as an interscholastic coach after July 1, 2005; Bachelor’s degree in related field and previous relevant coaching experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience; Knowledge of MIAA rules governing athletic activities; Ability to motivate student athletes, communicate clearly and effectively, and relate to and work with students of differing athletic abilities; Commitment to remain current in knowledge of the sport and its coaching strategies; Other alternatives deemed appropriate by the Athletic Director. Duties Supervise and conduct practice and coaching sessions, teach sports techniques, rules, strategies, and tactics, impart love of the sport, develop healthy self‑image and confidence; Condition athletes appropriately for endurance, strength, and agility activities; Teach sportsmanship, cooperation, work ethic, and responsibility to the team; Supervise and coach during matches, meets, contests; Observe safety guidelines and respond to injuries with approved first aid; Manage uniforms, equipment, and school facilities responsibly; Assist Varsity Coach as needed; Other duties as assigned.
