Description - What You'll Do

• Carry out standard and specialized laboratory tests-such as chemistry, hematology, immunology, and more-while following set protocols.
• Evaluate results for precision, troubleshoot any discrepancies, and maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments.
• Assist in specimen collection and prepare samples for analysis as required.
• Thoroughly document all procedures, mentor new hires or students, and contribute to maintaining laboratory quality standards.
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment, adhering to regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be obtained within the first year of employment.
• Maintain current certification during your tenure.
