Senior Accounting Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Consultant to join a fast-paced, dynamic organization on a project-basis. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial records while driving process improvements and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and maintain the general ledger, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and promptly.
• Perform complex, high-volume account reconciliations, resolving discrepancies efficiently.
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries, including accruals, deferrals, and reclassifications.
• Manage and lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Analyze and interpret financial data, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Support audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and reconciliations as required.
• Drive process optimization initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy across accounting operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (CPA or advanced certification strongly preferred).
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with expertise in general ledger management, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
