Office Clerk

La Colonia Pharmacy Services

POSITION SUMMARY The Office Clerk assists in the general operation of the pharmacy and is responsible for the proper organization of medications and supplies, rotation and inventory control of products. The employee must ensure compliance with professional standards and relevant legal, regulatory, and safety requirements. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES These duties are performed on a daily, weekly basis or as needed: Handle the distribution process of all packages (Rx & OTC) that have already been created in the Delivery system through the different zones or routes. Organize the area to guarantee the correct distribution of packages for each route, placing the boxes according to the number of routes and their respective identification. Provide Office Clerks who create the package with empty boxes supplied by the system. Assist in picking up OTCs once they are available at the OTC station pick up area. Help collect the Rx already checked by the pharmacists and take them to the designated Office Clerk station. Participate in scanning all OTC packages once in the Delivery area. Contribute proposals and process improvements and interact with the team. Inform the Supervisor or Manager about any eventuality or anomaly during the working day. Work in a team and adjust according to the needs of the operation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area. Operate material‑handling equipment safely and efficiently according to established procedures. Adhere to and follow all applicable company policies, procedures, and government regulations. Ensure confidentiality and secure keeping of information and operational strategies. Perform other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None. QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Years of experience: At least one (1) year of clerical experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or pharmacy. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS Able to work quickly and efficiently. Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage and execute multiple projects. Proactive and able to work well independently and as a team. Professional, positive attitude with a strong work ethic and a continuous learner. Ensure all work consistently exceeds established standards and guidelines. Solid ability to handle confidential information appropriately and with integrity. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Highly organized with strong time management and project management skills. Flexibility to work weekends, nights, and holidays as required by the operation. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The employee may lift and/or move up to twenty‑five (25) pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk and sit as well as use hands, fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee will use normal, corrective vision range; ability to see color and to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
