Clinical Partner - General Surgical Unit - 12- Hour - Full Time - Days 0

Responsibilities Assume responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care for the specialty patient population. Provide personal nursing care and perform routine assigned tasks under the direction of a licensed Registered Nurse (RN). Identify physical, emotional and social needs of patients and report findings to the RN. Participate in the implementation of patient care and contribute to the care plan under the supervision of the RN. Provide safety and comfort to patients, families and significant others. Reduce risk of health care-acquired infections by using the CDC hand washing guidelines and the institutional isolation policy. Safely use restraints when requested by the charge nurse or primary RN. Participate in all initiatives that assist in reducing the risk of patient harm by following safety precautions. Qualifications A minimum of one (1) year previous experience as a Licensed CNA in an acute care facility, hospital or medical center strongly preferred. High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required BLS Certification by the American Heart Association or The American Red Cross: Required BLS expiration date must be valid 60 days or more before start date.
