The position is for 13 weeks with a possibility of extension. The shift will be nights consisting of 12-hour shifts. Candidates will care for both ICU and step-down patients due to the universal bed model. A typical patient list includes post-operative CABG adult patients, acute coronary conditions, and CHF. The unit operates with a ratio of 1:1 for critically ill patients. Candidates must have experience in managing multi-system organ failure and dysrhythmias. Experience with ventilated patients and procedural sedation is essential. Familiarity with advanced equipment such as Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps and Impella is required. The unit is equipped with a universal bed model, allowing flexibility in patient care. Candidates are expected to provide high-quality nursing care while adhering to safety and infection control protocols. The facility prioritizes candidates who have a strong background in cardiac care and are proficient with Epic charting.
