We are working with a confidential client in the heavy equipment manufacturing industry to place a procurement professional on a 12-month contract. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their supply chain career looking to gain hands-on experience supporting global category buyers within a large, worldwide organization.

What you will do:

• Place and manage purchase orders
• Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, and delivery
• Solicit bid proposals and review requisitions for goods and services
• Monitor shipments and resolve issues related to undelivered goods
• Support compliance, cost tracking, and supplier performance tasks
• Work alongside 2 senior category buyers and collaborate with a worldwide team in the U.S., Europe, and Asia

What we are looking for:

• 2 years of relevant experience (internships accepted)
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Analytical thinking and data-driven decision making
• Ability to analyze financial reports and price proposals
• Knowledge of supply chain management and purchasing regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (required)
• PowerBI experience (preferred)
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative

Position details:

• Location: Chillicothe, IL — on-site, Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4pm
• Pay: $20–22/hr
• Duration: 12-month contract starting May 2026
• Travel: Up to 25% to U.S.-based suppliers
• Interview process: 1 round, virtual
