Make a real impact by supporting students’ well-being in an onsite, contract role as a School Psychologist near Pittsford, NY. This vital position serves a diverse student population, focusing on assessment, intervention, and advocacy to help every child achieve their full potential within the school environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, valid State/Discipline license as a School Psychologist
- Proven background working within school settings, providing psychological services to students
- Strong assessment and counseling skills, with a passion for supporting academic and social-emotional growth
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and support staff
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities to manage caseload and maintain accurate records
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students’ needs and recommend interventions
- Deliver direct counseling and support services to students individually and in groups
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement IEPs and 504 plans
- Engage in crisis intervention, consultation, and classroom observations to foster a positive school culture
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute expertise on mental health, learning, and behavior
