Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting students near the New Orleans area as a full-time educator specializing in general education or ESL. Starting as soon as possible and extending through the end of May 2027, you’ll play a vital role in guiding a diverse group of learners, with the chance to make a lasting impact in their academic journey. This position is set for 35 hours per week, following the school’s calendar schedule—Monday through Friday, seven hours per day with an allotted 30-minute lunch break.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Louisiana Department of Education certification is required (no TAT accepted)
• Strong background in either general education or English as a Second Language teaching
• Experience adapting instruction for varied ages and skill levels
• Must meet all credentialing, drug screening, and fingerprinting requirements prior to start
• Demonstrated ability to cultivate a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Contract teaching experience in schools preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction in accordance with curriculum standards
• Develop and implement lesson plans that foster academic and language growth
• Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to address individual student needs
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and targeted support
• Communicate effectively with families and administration to ensure student success
• Participate in meetings, training, and school-wide initiatives as needed
