This role is social-media-first — you'll act as the quarterback for our channels, calendar, and voice — but the right candidate is also a strong, versatile writer who can write content across the business, from landing pages to blog posts. We need someone who is equally comfortable planning and publishing day-to-day social content and writing longer-form copy for the web. Strong writing skills and project management skills are a must. Light creative or design skills (experience with Canva) are a plus for building simple graphics and social assets.Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesSocial media management: Plan, schedule, and publish content across Merlin's social channels (LinkedIn)Content strategy & calendar: Build and maintain a social content calendar aligned with brand and business prioritiesCopywriting: Write clear, on-brand copy across formats — social posts, landing pages, email, and other marketing materialsBlogs & thought leadership: Write and edit blog posts and other long-form contentWeb & landing pages: Own copy for landing pages and other web content, keeping messaging current and consistentCreate simple graphics and social assets using Canva, utilizing pre-built templateTrack social performance and adjust content strategy based on engagement and resultsOwn projects from concept through final delivery, working directly with the Director of CommunicationsQualificationsStrong writing and copywriting skills, with samples or a portfolio demonstrating range across social, web, and long-form contentExperience managing social media channels and content calendars for a B2B brandAbility to work independently and own projects from planning through publishSharp eye for brand voice, tone, and consistency across channels and formatsComfortable juggling multiple content types and priorities at onceBackground in cybersecurity, technology, or other B2B industriesExpertise in copywriting across all content typesFluent use and understanding of social media analytics, including Sprout or other similar tool for social media scheduling and reportingThis is contract work, up to 20 hours per week, with a flexible schedule.
