Senior Accountant

Accounting Position

Essential Functions:

• Accurately record monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries.
• Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
• Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
• Sales, use, and property tax compliance
• Assist in planning, budgeting, and forecasting of expenses.
• Participate in physical inventories as needed.
• Assist with requests from management for ad hoc or special reports; provide requested data in a user-friendly format.
• Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Able to extract data from a database and manipulate/combine with other data.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office apps (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• ERP experience software experience with Oracle / SAP / Plex preferred.
• Inventory cost valuation a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Able to work in a team and independently.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Accounting and a minimum of three years' applicable work experience.
• MBA and prior manufacturing industry experience preferred.
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process.
• Experience with accounting software systems.
