Salary: $60,000 – $70,000

Position Overview

Reporting to finance leadership, the Staff Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting activities across multiple business units. This role is ideal for someone who is adaptable, team-oriented, detail-focused, and not afraid to ask questions while learning.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting schedules
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support cash, accrual, prepaid, and payroll accounting activities
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounting transactions

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Assist with variance analysis and account fluctuation reviews
• Prepare internal reports and schedules for management
• Support ad hoc financial analysis projects
• Respond to internal inquiries regarding billing, payments, and account activity

Process Improvement & Systems Support

• Help improve accounting workflows and reporting processes
• Support ERP and financial system enhancements
• Maintain organized documentation of accounting procedures

Audit & Compliance

• Assist with year-end audit requests and supporting schedules
• Follow internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
• Maintain high levels of accuracy and confidentiality

Collaboration & Growth

• Cross-train with teammates and support peers when needed
• Build strong working relationships with other departments
• Take on additional responsibilities as skills and experience grow

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• 1+ years of accounting experience
• Basic understanding of GAAP principles
