Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing for flexible work arrangements that promote a healthy work-life balance. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring that you have evenings and weekends free for personal time. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the severity, frequency, and impact of mood disorder symptoms on clients’ daily lives.

• Develop personalized treatment plans collaboratively with clients, integrating their specific goals and preferences into therapeutic strategies.

• Utilize evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate client healing and progress.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, offering guidance on treatment options and effective self-care strategies.

• Monitor client progress on a regular basis, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to reflect changing needs and therapeutic responses.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic and integrated care.

• Stay informed about the latest developments in mood disorder research and treatment approaches to inform clinical practice.

• Maintain meticulous records of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans while adhering to ethical and legal documentation standards.

• Participate actively in professional development opportunities, case consultations, and team meetings aimed at enhancing clinical competencies.

• Advocate for clients' needs within the healthcare system, working towards the destigmatization of mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role will be on individuals grappling with mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related disorders. Our patients come from diverse backgrounds, each with unique experiences and challenges. Thus, sensitivity to cultural differences and the ability to build rapport are essential for effective treatment delivery and meaningful outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• Proficient in evidence-based treatment methodologies targeted toward mood disorders.

• A strong understanding of psychopharmacology in order to communicate effectively with prescribing psychiatrists.

Compensation and Benefits\n
