Sr. Medical Director MD, Immunology

Senior Medical Director MD leading clinical development strategies and Phase 1-3 trials in immunology at a biopharmaceutical company. Provides medical expertise across cross-functional teams to advance drug candidates from preclinical through regulatory approval, with responsibility for study design, protocol development, safety assessment, and clinical team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop clinical development strategies and lead study design for Phase 1-3 trials; direct protocol writing and clinical study reports
• Serve as Medical Lead on cross-functional program teams; provide medical input to integrated and clinical development plans
• Conduct medical assessment and disposition of adverse events; evaluate safety of clinical compounds throughout studies
• Identify and select clinical investigators; maintain sponsor relationships and oversee trial execution per regulations and GCP
• Lead analysis, interpretation, and presentation of study results to internal and external audiences; interface with Research and Business Development on new opportunities

Requirements

• MD or DO degree in relevant clinical specialty with 4+ years pharmaceutical/CRO drug development experience
• Accredited residency training and board certification preferred
• Deep expertise in immunology and leading-edge clinical research theories and techniques
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills with ability to supervise and lead teams
• Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into tactical plans and drive measurable outcomes
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with scientific discourse proficiency
• Self-motivated with capacity to manage large workload and adapt in complex situations
