Overview
Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (L&D) in Dundee, Kansas, United States. Travel - temporary assignment starting 07/12/2026 for 13 weeks in a short-term acute care hospital setting. Weekly pay range: $2,260 to $2,352 per week. There are no guaranteed hours. Shift: 3x12-hour Nights. This assignment is managed through Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to labor and delivery patients, including monitoring maternal status and fetal heart rate, and preparing for delivery.
- Administer medications and manage intrapartum analgesia per orders and protocols; assist with the delivery process as needed.
- Perform postpartum and newborn care, assessing recovery, initiating breastfeeding support, and coordinating discharge planning.
- Monitor for obstetric emergencies, respond promptly, and collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiology, and neonatal teams.
- Document care in the electronic medical record; EPIC experience is highly preferred.
- Be willing to float to medical-surgical units as overflow and provide pediatric patient care when required.

Requirements
- Active Kansas RN license.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP; must have taken a fetal monitoring class (intermediate or advanced) within the past 24 months; must be committed to obtaining PALS prior to start.
- Experience: 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience; 3+ years preferred; rural hospital experience considered an asset; EPIC experience highly preferred.
- Education: Nursing degree (RN) required.
- Ability to work in a high-acuity labor and delivery setting and to float to overflow units as needed.
