Shipping

Seeking a motivated, dependable Shipping & Receiving Specialist to join our facility in Plainview, NY. This role is responsible for managing daily outgoing shipments, verifying inbound inventory, and maintaining safe warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable using shipping software, and physically capable of handling fast-paced logistics work.

salary: $20 - $25 per hour

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities

• Package & Order Preparation: Safely pack, weigh, label, and stage outgoing orders to ensure safe delivery and compliance with carrier standards.
• Carrier Logistics Management: Generate shipping documentation, bills of lading (BOLs), and shipping labels via major carriers (FedEx, UPS, DHL, freight/LTL).
• Inbound Inspection & Receiving: Unload incoming shipments, inspect incoming goods for damages, verify packing slips against purchase orders, and record items in the system.
• Inventory Control: Maintain precise inventory records using internal systems, assist with cycle counts, and report stock discrepancies.
• Warehouse Maintenance: Keep work zones clean, organized, and compliant with standard workplace safety guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 1-3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics within a warehouse environment.
• Computer Proficiency: Basic to intermediate computer skills, including experience with shipping tools (FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip) or standard ERP/inventory software
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, and perform repetitive bending or reaching.
• Soft Skills: High attention to detail, organizational ability, and punctual attendance.
