Senior Level Accountant

Summer Hours: Monday-Thursday 9 AM - 4 PM, Friday 9 AM - 12 PM Sky Lake Construction is a leading family-owned construction company in North Mississippi that specializes in residential projects. We are seeking an experienced Accountant to manage the financial operations of a growing portfolio of rental properties, including residential flats, houses, and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of accounting, excellent organizational skills, and experience working with property management or real estate accounting. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records for residential and commercial rental properties Record and reconcile all rental income and management fees Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable related to rental operations Reconcile security deposit accounts Reconcile commercial property TMI (Taxes, Maintenance, and Insurance) recoveries Work closely with property management staff regarding tenant accounts and property expenses Perform daily accounting tasks such as invoice data entry, journal entries, deposits, and other data entries Ability to multi-task and assist other team members however needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred Previous accounting experience required Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Accounting Software such as QuickBooks Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as with a team Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Knowledge of commercial rental accounting and TMI reconciliations is an asset What We Offer Competitive salary starting at $75,000 and based on experience Potential Semi-Annual Bonuses based on company and employee performance Benefits package, including 401k with a company match of up to 4%, health and supplemental insurance, and paid time off Opportunities for professional growth and development Dynamic and collaborative work environment Chance to be a part of a growing and successful company Join our team at Sky Lake Construction and be a part of a company that is dedicated to excellence and committed to creating exceptional spaces for our clients.
