Clinical Laboratory Technologist

Labcorp

Jacksonville, FL

Labcorp seeks a Clinical Lab Professional for a casual/per diem position at Ascension St. Vincent's in Jacksonville, Florida. The role involves performing laboratory testing procedures, operating instrumentation, and ensuring specimen quality and accurate result reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Assess specimen acceptability according to established testing criteria
  • Perform routine and complex technical procedures following departmental protocols
  • Monitor, operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
  • Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents and quality control materials
  • Document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
  • 1+ year clinical laboratory testing experience or MLS degree
  • Florida Medical Technologist (MT) license
  • Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
  • Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
  • ASCP or AMT certification (preferred)
